Roseburg Forest Products, a wood-based panel producer, has selected Siempelkamp, a German machinery supplier, to provide equipment for its upcoming Medium Density Fiberboard (MDF) plant. Siempelkamp was chosen based on its industry expertise and track record, as well as its prior successful collaboration with Roseburg Forest Products in 1969.

The MDF plant is a significant part of Roseburg Forest Products' $700 million investment plan in the Southern Oregon region. The project includes the establishment of a component manufacturing center and technological enhancements to existing plants in rural Douglas and Coos counties. This comprehensive initiative seeks to modernize the wood-based panel industry in the region and strengthen Roseburg's market position.

Siempelkamp will supply a range of cutting-edge equipment for the MDF plant, including a ContiRoll system, a dryer line from Büttner, the forming and press line, the cooling and stacking line, and associated machine technology. The planning of the plant will be carried out by Belgian specialists from Sicoplan, Siempelkamp announced. As Lesprom Network reported earlier, the Roseburg's investment project includes two new highly technical manufacturing plants at the company's Dillard Complex, located just south of Roseburg, Oregon.
